Restaurant Closures – January/February 2019

In an effort to increase the transparency of food safety inspections in North Texas, TexasPHS will begin providing restaurant and other food establishment closures due to severe food safety and sanitation issues. These records were obtained by filing Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA) requests with various North Texas jurisdictions.

An abundance of rodent droppings, insect-infested buffet items, and improperly maintained temperature-sensitive foods led health inspectors to issue temporary closures for numerous food establishments in North Texas during the first two months of 2019, according to official reports.
